We, the people of Betty’s Bay, are privileged to have this very capable dynamo, Claudele Jackson, as new portfolio principal of Crassula Hall.

Claudele Jackson
She is not just “the new broom”, she takes up the broom herself. The floor of the hall has been thoroughly vacuumed, for a start. There has been much cleaning, sorting and general reorganizing.
Claudele has also embarked on the taking of a comprehensive inventory of big and small appliances, cutlery, and crockery at the hall. A list has also been drawn up of appliances that require replacement or repair, a long list of building-related repairs that need doing, and cleaning agents and materials that need to be acquired. Claudele has also recommended the installation of a few sensor lights to make arrival and departure easier when it is dark outside, especially in winter.
The BBRA warmly thanks Tim McGavin for donating R1 000 towards the purchase of a new microwave oven. This is greatly appreciated, especially as so many appliances in the kitchen have started to show their advanced age by breaking down or developing faults.
One major improvement that Claudele proposed is installing a door at the entrance of the building. Instead of having an open, leaf-littered entrance, the idea is to have solid doors that will keep out the detritus brought in by the fresh ocean breezes here in Betty’s Bay. This means that curtains can be put up and some furniture brought in, which will be useful and attractive.
In the final instance, Claudele is happy to report that bookings are going well and that the booking system is operating flawlessly.
Many thanks, Claudele, for breathing new life into Crassula Hall. We wish you well.
