This portfolio, introduced for the first time in 2022, is focused primarily on the following:

  • To represent the needs of the business community to the BBRA and to the OM
  • Disseminating information relevant to existing business in the village
  • Creating meaningful value for businesses such as links to employment databases, frameworks under which to successfully operate businesses and guides to setting up a business in Betty’s Bay
  • Working with other BBRA portfolios to ensure the business sector is represented and their needs are considered
  • Liaising with other business organisations within the Overberg to share best practice
  • To understand the needs of the diverse business community and assist in removing obstacles to their success.

Additional focus areas will be introduced as and when they are raised by the community.
