BEST of the best
On Saturday 14 January 2023 a historic event took place at the Crassula Hall when the training of our very first and own home-grown Betty’s Emergency Response Team (BEST) began.
I had the privilege of addressing these extraordinary people before the serious work started.
Having listened to each person introduce themselves, saying why they wanted to serve us in this very difficult and unforgiving discipline, I am more than ever convinced that we are progressing steadily as an effective, self-driven and self-suficient community. I walked away from the hall with goosebumps. Thank you to Colleen Johnson for training us at no charge. Thank you to Rob Boyd for leading this portfolio and thank you to all the volunteers. The sterling group was augmented by our very own Fire and Rescue team.
