Community Upkeep and facelift of Public toilets in Betty’s Bay:
In Betty’s Bay, the upkeep of public toilets is a shared effort between the municipality and the local community. While basic cleaning is handled by the authorities, the facilities at David’s Kraal, Main Beach, Malkopsvlei and Jock’s Bay are in urgent need of extra care, especially with the busy summer season approaching.
Through public donations and volunteer support, the community aims to give these toilets a much-needed facelift, including fresh paint, improved lighting, eco-friendly fittings, and decorative touches to create a cleaner, more welcoming environment. Local businesses, residents, and visitors are encouraged to contribute funds, materials, or time to ensure these key facilities are well-maintained for both locals and the influx of holidaymakers.
This collaborative effort not only improves hygiene and comfort but also strengthens community pride and encourages respectful use of public amenities.
Call to Action:
If you would like to help, donations of paint, cleaning materials, labour or funds are warmly welcomed. Every contribution – big or small – makes a difference. Let’s work together to make the public facilities of Betty’s Bay something we can all be proud of this summer.
