HCCC provides welfare services to the Hangklip community, i.e. residents of Betty’s Bay, Pringle Bay and Rooi Els. During the month of July we distributed 51 food parcels and cooked 593 scrumptuous, nutritious meals.
Our semiweekly Pilates classes, weekly Line Dancing classes, weekly Bridge afternoons and monthly Friendship Circle meetings have continued as usual, the Bridge meetings currently taking place at the local Dutch Reformed Church on Tuesday afternoons.
Following on from our HAIL, Home Assisted Independent Living, home carers’ courses in October 2022 and March 2023, we have set up carers’ support groups in each of Sunny Seas, Jock’s Bay, Central Betty’s Bay and Silversands.
A further home carers’ training course was presented during May in Pringle Bay.
