Spatial Development Framework for Overstrand Local Municipality (OLM):
- The status remains that the OLM and the Service Provider/ Consultant is still busy sorting out the Status Quo Report.
- Once sorted, the said report will be made available to the public for comment / input.
Roads:
- The Contractor appointed to deal with the roads infrastructure in Betty’s Bay is busy with the scraping / rolling of the dirt roads. They have finished work in Sunny Seas and are now in the Diastella Road / Gladiolis Road area.
- Because of the storm, the Kleinmond Team is in the meantime busy with repair of the roads damaged. Approximately 900 cubic metres of gravel is available for these repairs.
- Potholes: the Municipality must be made aware of potholes via the Collab App. These will be addressed within the capacity of the Municipality / given working conditions (weather).
Storm Water:
- The Kleinmond Team is currently busy with storm water drainage systems in the Disa Circle, Morea Road, and Ixia Road areas.
- Flooding areas: Because of the storm on 10 to 12 May 2026, numerous flooding areas that were reported have been addressed by the Kleinmond Team.
- It is important that the Municipality be made aware of storm water problems via the Collab App. These will be addressed within the capacity of the Municipality / given working conditions (weather).
MAIN BEACH: PARKING AREA
The repair of the parking area at Main Beach has been completed. The parking area was filled with gravel and levelled in such a manner that storm water drains towards existing Storm Water ditch in the southeastern corner of the parking area.
