August 2026 was a very quiet month in Betty’s Bay and also for the first responder teams in Pringle Bay and Rooi Els. BEST attended to three call-outs: two medical cases and a fall injury. The one medical case and the fall injury required hospitalisation. Both were transported by ER24. The other medical case was referred to One Health / OEC24 in Kleinmond.
An important reminder to all, please have your medical aid information, a list of your current medication and what it is for and your medical history at hand as this greatly assists with patient assessments and handover to the ambulance services. We urge people to prominently display both the Erf number and street number on their property so that they can be found quickly, particularly at night.
Any donation to BEST will be most welcome as we have ongoing expenses and need to replace some of our older items. The new medic flight suit with BEST branding has been collected from the embroiderer and issued.
