TOWN-PLANNING AND PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT (Town-planning Issues / Engineering Services / Building Control) 9 October 2024

Vehicles: Although work is done on the roads / storm water drainage system, the issue regarding vehicles remains volatile.

Gravel: There is “gravel” and roads are repaired on an ongoing basis, provided weather conditions.

Tar: Tar is available and roads / potholes are repaired on an ongoing basis, when weather conditions are suitable.

Betty’s Bay Roads: Pertinent stormwater problems that will receive attention:

  1. i) Diastella Erven 3892/3893
  2. ii) Erven 2243 Partridge Road (ref no: 2102548)

iii) Adenandre Street

  1. iv) Crassula Yard Erf 4000

Mirror in Seaview: A new mirror has been ordered. Once received, it will be installed.

Entrance from Clarence to Seaview (Kleinmond side): This remains an urgent issue. The junction will have to be fully tarred.

Stormwater problems/Potholes:  As the Municipality becomes aware of problems, they are addressing them within their capabilities / given working conditions (weather).

Standing Note: Where an urgent problem arises over a weekend, the Control Room must be contacted (028 313 8111). The Control Room also gives a reference number. If the problem is only reported on Collab the situation is not given attention until the Monday.

Speed Bumps: These will be put back once the scraping of the roads are finished.
