In April 2025 there were seven callouts. Three injuries, all were assisted and then referred to the Overstrand Emergency Clinic (OEC) in Kleinmond. Four medical cases, three required hospitalisation and one was referred to the OEC.
A big thank you to Debi Best, Tracey Burger, Barbara Kennedy and Colleen Mare for the overwhelmingly successful first performance of “Da Capo at Sunset In house concert” held on 16 March 2025 to raise funds for the BEST patient monitor.
An important reminder to all, please have your medical aid information, a list of your current medication and medical history at hand as this greatly assists with patient assessments and handover to the ambulance services. We urge people to prominently display both the Erf number and street number on their property so that they can easily be found particularly at night.
For those who still may not know, a new emergency facility, Overberg Emergency Care (OEC24) opened in Harbour Road, Kleinmond in January 2025. They provide a service for both general and emergency medical care and can also be contacted on 021 770 0053 for the On-Call doctor after hours.
