- Spatial Development Framework (SDF) for Overstrand
The Overstrand Local Municipality is currently in the process of revising the SDF for Overstrand. Once the Status Quo Report is available, it will be circulated for comment/input.
Parking Areas / Sites to renovate
The situation at “Coffee on Clarence and the Hub / Main Beach / Silver Sands” remains the same as a month ago:
We are awaiting Director Stephen Muller’s go-ahead to proceed with all three the projects.
A Land Surveyor still needs to be appointed to “peg” the area at “Coffee on Clarence/The Hub”.
The OLM Traffic Engineer needs to investigate the effect on the traffic flow regarding the possible closure of streets / possible transforming to one-way street(s) at the Main Beach.
- Vehicles: Most of the vehicles are operational.
- Cutting of verges: The Parks Division is responsible for this and any request for the cutting of verges on municipal land must be made to them. Cutting of verges on private land is the responsibility of the Landowner.
- Stormwater problems/Potholes: As the Municipality becomes aware of problems, they are addressed within the capacity of the Municipality, given working conditions (weather).
- Standing note: Residents must log issues on Collab themselves to get a reference number. When a situation arises over a weekend and is urgent, the Control Room must be notified – 028 313 8111
