Very important: we have moved! Since 1 September 2025 HCCC has been conducting our activities from our new address – the old Jacks, adjacent to the Centre shops in Betty’s Bay.
HCCC provides welfare services to the Hangklip community i.e. residents of Betty’s Bay, Pringle Bay and Rooi Els. During the shorter month of August, owing to our move, we distributed 51 food parcels and cooked 501 scrumptious, nutritious meals.
Our semiweekly Pilates and Line-dancing classes, weekly Bridge afternoons and monthly Friendship Circle meetings have continued as usual, the Bridge meetings now taking place at our HCC Centre, while the Pilates and Line-dancing classes will continue at the Crassula Hall in Betty’s Bay.
Following on from our HAIL (Home Assisted Independent Living) home carers’ courses in October 2022 and March 2023, we have set up carers’ support groups in each of Sunny Seas, Jock’s Bay, Central Betty’s Bay and Silversands.
A further home carers’ training course was presented during May in Pringle Bay.
