I am a newbie on the BBRA committee, and I have a freshly created portfolio – “Drama and Theatre Arts”.
As a strategic BBRA project, the portfolio is a heritage initiative to promote diverse community cultural offerings. And I request your assistance!
We wish to establish a register of the cultural offerings currently available in Betty’s Bay. We wish to know about you in order to be of assistance to you and to our community.
Personally, I have recently started a weekly physical theatre class, and I am planning to start a weekly drama (in the broad sense) class soon. Working towards performances would be lovely, but mainly I wish to create a space for individuals to explore creative ways to use one’s voice and body, and to express thoughts and ideas; and I plan to include enhancing skills in reading, storytelling (especially to children) and public speaking skills.
