Spatial Development Framework (SDF) for OM:
- Overstrand Municipality (OM) indicated on 14 April 2026 that the service provider/consultant is still busy with the Status Quo Report. Once sorted, the said report will be made available to the public for comment / input. The deadline for the Status Quo Report is November 2026
- The deadline for the amended SDF is next year, when the revised Integrated Development Plan (IDP) will also be approved.
Roads:
The contractor appointed to deal with the roads infrastructure in Betty’s Bay completed the scraping/rolling of the dirt roads in the eastern area (broader Sunny Seas Area) of Betty’s Bay.
- They are currently busy in the western area, whereafter they will proceed to the central area.
- Potholes: the OM must be made aware of potholes. They will be addressed within the capacity of the Municipality / given working conditions (weather).
- There is enough stock (gravel and tar) for the current financial year, ending June 2026. New stock will be order for the new financial year, beginning July 2026.
Storm Water:
- The Kleinmond team finished as far as possible the cleaning of the storm water drainage system.
- It is important to note that the Municipality must be made aware of storm water problems. These will be addressed within the capacity of the Municipality/given working conditions (weather).
Water pipes:
- Broken water pipes are fixed as and when reported.
