A BBC event for the city Nature challenge
Big thanks to Peter Oxford of BBC for such an informative walk on 25 April.

We set off from Sea Way Drive but we didn’t get very far. There were so many shells, to see and identity in just a short distance on the beach. Pete has spent the past year researching the identity of many species, and suitably impressed us with their formal Latin names.
Scattered shells take on a new meaning when you learn something about the anatomy and physiology of their previous inhabitants.
We encouraged Pete to do another walk and we will advertise when there is another opportunity. Pete, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us and for highlighting the importance of protecting our small MPA.
