Spatial Development Framework for OLM:

  • The status remains that the Overstrand Local Municipality (OLM) and the service provider/consultant are still busy sorting out the “Status Quo Report”.

Roads:

  • R370 000 has been allocated to the Kleinmond/Hangklip Area to fix potholes in tarred roads. The appointed contractor will do this.
  • There are apparently no vehicles (i.e. grader) available to do the scraping of gravel roads in Betty’s Bay. A contractor will be appointed to undertake this.
  • R1 000 000 has been allocated for gravel. Gravel has been ordered but not delivered yet.  For this reason the gravel roads in Betty’s Bay are not being scraped/fixed currently.  Once gravel is available, the to-be-appointed contractor will commence with the work.
  • Please remember that the Municipality must be made aware of potholes via the Collab App. It will be addressed within the capacity of the Municipality, given working conditions (weather).

Storm Water:

The Kleinmond team is currently attending to the cleaning of storm water drainage systems in Betty’s Bay.

It is important that the Municipality be made aware of storm water problems via the Collab App.  These will be addressed within the capacity of the Municipality / given working conditions (weather).

  • Standing Note:

Residents must log issues on Collab themselves to get a reference number.  When a situation arises over a weekend and is urgent, the Control Room must be notified – 028 313 8111
