In July 2024 there were seven call-outs: six medical cases and one motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles with five patients, two of whom had serious injuries. Our thanks to the two doctors who were already at the accident scene when BEST arrived. Fifty one call-outs have been responded to in the first seven months of 2024. Two new volunteers will undergo training in August and September bringing our team complement to eleven. A reminder to all, please have your medical aid information, a list of your current medication and medical history at hand as this will greatly assist with patient handover to the ambulance services in the event of you requiring assistance.
