In August 2024 there were ten call-outs: nine medical cases and one motor vehicle accident involving a single vehicle with two patients, one critical. Sixty one call-outs have been responded to in the first eight months of 2024. Two new volunteers have undergone training and done the examination, a third has joined who is already certified to Level 3 First Aid, so we now have a team of twelve.
A reminder to all, please have your medical aid information and a list of your current medication and medical history at hand as this will greatly assist with patient handover to the ambulance services, in the event of you needing them.
Our expenses this past month totalled R14 258,83 inclusive of the training. The big cost items were for a replacement AED Adult Pad-Pak (R6 098,06) and a replacement Epipen which had expired (R1250)
