I look forward to arranging and promoting drama and theatre arts in Betty’s Bay. And I would welcome suggestions in such regard from all of you. My name is Ilona Frege. At the beginning of 2024, my husband and I relocated from Cape Town to what had been our holiday home in Betty’s Bay for 20 years.
I specialise in physical theatre, acting, voice, choreography, and movement direction. I have taught at various tertiary institutions (University of Stellenbosch, Wits, and UCT), and at private institutions and schools in the Western Cape, offering modules in physical theatre and acting. I have more than 30 years of experience working as a performer, theatre educator, and theatre-maker. In 2019, I launched Frege Moves, offering specialised training in physical theatre, movement for performance, and acting.
